Steve Tuma
President and Chief Operating Officer
Steve has been operating Sound Aircraft Services since 1990, trained and guided many former staff members who have taken on successful careers in aviation, and has been essential in turning the East Hampton Airport into what it is today. Steve holds a B.S. in Aviation Technology from the well-known Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL.
Evan Catarelli
Operations Manager
As Operations Manager for Sound Aircraft Services Evan has been responsible for organizing and directing all aspects of the daily business since 2009 with essential input in the development and/or administration of policies, department goals and objectives. Evan carries an MBA in Aviation Management from Dowling College and enjoys dual Citizenship.
Riley Sullivan
Line Technician Supervisor
Riley has been the eye on the ground since his return to the company in 2019. Him and his crew are responsible for aircraft fueling, towing, ground maintenance, and taxiing, among many other tasks. He accomplished a degree in mechanical aviation from BOCES and his been affiliated with the East Hampton Airport for 15+ years. Outside of his passion for Aviation he also has a tendency to own the coolest truck on the ground.
Evan Templeton
Line Technician Assistant Supervisor
Evan has been with Sound Aircraft Services since 2017 and recently joined our team full-time filling in the position as Assistant to the Line Technician Supervisor.
Bernadette Ruggiero
Financial Accountant/Controller
Bernadette has been ensuring the financial health and strategic planning of Sound Aircraft Services since 2017. She is a Certified Fraud Examiner and has degrees in Forensic Accounting, Sociology, Communication Sciences, and Social Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University and the Technical University Dresden, Germany.
Cheryl Pharaoh
Office Manager/Bookkeeper
Cheryl joined the Sound Aircraft Services’ team in 2018 and has since been an integral part overseeing all daily financial activities and office affairs. She holds a degree in bookkeeping from BOCES and has worked in the fuel industry for over a decade. Referring to her as the “good soul of the company’” is a sheer understatement.
